Brief Report of NSS Regular Activities (Session 2018-19)

July,2018 (Divya Himachal )

On 18.07.2018, one day camp was organized under the Swachhta Campaign . New NSS Volunteers were enrolled. There was interaction between new and old NSS Volunteers. They discussed their past experiences all together at the school and college level. This derive had served the purpose of manual labor among the NSS Volunteers as they actively finished the work given to them. On 31.07.2018, awareness program on main aims and objectives of National Service Scheme, was organized. The principal of the college addressed to the volunteers and blessed them to work hard in awareness programs in future NSS activities.

22nd Aug, 2018(Dainik Jagran)

On 01.08.2018 to 15.01.2018, Swachhta pakhwada was celebrated by NSS Volunteers. They took Sapath on Swachhta at Sadhbhawana Diwas and on Independence Day. 02.08.2018 to 05.08.2018, cleanliness derive was organized in which NSS Volunteers cleaned the college campus , class rooms, library hall and college ground. On 06.08.2018 to 08.08.2018, rallies on Swachhta Pakhwada was organized to aware the people with the slogans on cleanliness. This rally was organized from Adopted Village Jodu ka Talab to the College Campus. On 09.08.2018 to 10.08.2018, cleanliness campaign was organized around the PHC of adopted Village Jodu Ka Talab. On 11.08.2018 to 13.08.2018, a rally and local talk about the importance of Cleanliness were organized among the people of the adopted village. On 14.08.2018, a rally was organized with the handwritten banners having messages on Swachhta. On Independence Day ( 15.08.2018), the eve of closing of Swachhta Pakhwada, NSS Volunteers took Sapath of responsibility to make awareness about Cleanliness  among the people  even after Swachhta Pakhwada. On 21.08.2018, a special camp was organized to celebrate the  forest festival . Principal of the college inaugurated the festival with the plantation of a small tree. A slogan writing competition also was organized on this day.

September, 2018

 

On 05.09.2018, Teacher’s Day and on 08.09.2018, International Literacy Day was celebrated by the NSS volunteers. On 22.09.2018, NSS Volunteers took part in the cleanliness derive in the college campus. On 24.09.2018, NSS Day was celebrated. Senior Associate Prof. Dr. Anil Azad discussed the establishment and importance of National Service Scheme with NSS volunteers. On 29.09.2018, one day camp was organized on the eve of Prakram Diwas. Sh. Hari Singh, Ex. Commandant CRPF, addressed to the NSS volunteers on the bravery of soldiers involved in surgical strike during 29.09.2016 for the sake of national services and security.

On 02.10.2018, Cleanliness Day  celebrated by NSS volunteers by an arrangement of one day NSS camp. Volunteers had cleared the  college campus area , classrooms and flower-beds in front of Arts Block and sciences block. Prof. Dr. Pawan Patial of Physical Science addressed to the volunteers about the ethics and values of Nation’s father M. K. Gandhi as well as importance of cleanliness among the NSS volunteers. On 20.10.2018, NSS volunteers visited the exhibition of modern Arms and equipments material ran by Sastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Sapadi at Jawalamukhi (Kangra). Sh. Paramjeet Singh Salaria, Colonel SSB Unit at Sapadi imparted the Valuable information to the NSS volunteers about the various weapons, modern equipments, communication and glory associated with the Indian Army and motivated  them towards higher regard for defense forces and even join them.

On 30.11.2018, NSS volunteers took part in  a rally with the slogans on environment preservation. They imparted the message to avoid plastic material as it would be harmful for the existence of life on this earth. After then NSS volunteers made a cleanliness drive in the college campus.

December, 2018

 

 

On 01.12.2018, one day camp was organized by NSS volunteers to celebrate the World AIDS awareness Day. A rally was organized with the slogans about the awareness on AIDS. This rally was organized from adopted village  Jodu Ka Talab to the Civil Hospital Jawalamukhi. At Civil Hospital, ICTC counselor and CMO addressed to the Volunteers  and delivered  the valuable information. On 07.12.2018, NSS volunteers organized a campaign against Drug Abuse. A pledge ceremony was organized in the presence of the Principal of College. Poster-making competition and rally were organized on Anti Drug Abuse. On 26.12.2018, one day camp was organized in which a cleanliness drive took place throughout the college campus. After beautification of flower-beds NSS volunteers  cleared the area surrounding the student’s toilets and cleaned  the class-rooms so for the successful arrangements of the HPU Inter College Taekwondo Championship  w.e.f. 27.12.2018 to 29.12.12.2018 at  G.C. Jawalaji, Jawalamukhi. With the successful completion of Championship, NSS Seven Days Special Camp started w.e.f. 29.12.2018 to 04.01.2019 in the adopted village Jodu ka Talab (Amb Pathiar) Jawalamukhi.

February, 2019

 

On 28.02.2019, One day camp was organizedto assist college organizing committee for the success of   one day college athlete meet 2019 and rendered valuable services.

March, 2019

 

On 13.03.2019, one day camp was organized on the Voter’s awareness program. On 23-03-2019, one day camp was organized in the college campus . Volunteers participated in the Mock Drill Program on the topic of Earthquake that was organized in the whole college campus in the presence of Health, Administrative, Electrical and Fire Brigade departments. Also volunteers aired their views on the various types of self protection and ran a cleanliness drive  in college campus.
